Editorial Policy
OFAIF is committed to publishing credible, independent and responsible financial-awareness content. This policy sets out the standards that govern content on this platform.
Effective date: 25 September 2026
1. Purpose of This Policy
This Editorial Policy explains the standards OFAIF applies to content published on this website — whether authored by OFAIF or contributed by community members. It reflects OFAIF's commitment to operating as a credible, independent and responsible financial-awareness platform.
2. Editorial Principles
- Accuracy. Content must be factually accurate to the best of the author's knowledge and supported by identifiable sources where claims are specific or quantitative.
- Source attribution. Where content references regulatory statements, market data, research or statistics, the source should be identified and, where publicly available, linked.
- Transparency. The nature of content — whether it is factual information, educational explanation, analysis, commentary or opinion — should be clear to the reader. OFAIF distinguishes between these categories where relevant.
- Independence. OFAIF does not accept payment for editorial coverage. Content published on this platform must not be undisclosed commercial promotion of any financial product, service or entity.
- Educational purpose. All content must serve a genuine financial-awareness, financial-literacy or investor-education purpose.
- No misleading claims. Content must not contain statements that are misleading, speculative without appropriate context, or likely to create false impressions about financial products, markets or regulatory matters.
- No guaranteed returns. Content must not state or imply that any investment, strategy or financial product guarantees a return.
- No personalised recommendations. Content must not constitute a personalised investment recommendation, solicitation or offer directed at any individual reader.
- No undisclosed commercial promotion. Contributors must not use content published on OFAIF as a vehicle for the undisclosed promotion of financial products, services or entities with which they have a commercial relationship.
3. Content Classification
Where relevant, OFAIF aims to make the nature of content clear to readers:
- Factual information — descriptions of financial products, regulations, market structure or economic concepts drawn from publicly available sources.
- Educational explanation — plain-language explanations of financial concepts, processes or terminology.
- Analysis or commentary — interpretation or contextualisation of financial developments, data or trends, presented as the author's perspective.
- Opinion — a contributor's view on a financial-literacy, policy or awareness-related topic, clearly identified as opinion.
4. Contributor Requirements
Contributors submitting content for publication on OFAIF must:
- Submit content that is original or for which they have the right to submit.
- Provide sources for specific factual claims, statistics and regulatory references where possible.
- Disclose material conflicts of interest relevant to the content submitted.
- Disclose relevant professional or commercial interests where those interests could reasonably affect the content or its reception.
- Avoid content that constitutes personalised investment advice or trading calls.
- Avoid statements that guarantee investment returns or imply assured outcomes.
- Avoid undisclosed promotion of financial products, services or entities.
Where a contributor is associated with a SEBI-registered entity, AMFI-registered distributor, insurance intermediary or other regulated financial-services provider, they should disclose that relationship in the context of their contribution where it is relevant to the subject matter.
5. OFAIF Editorial Rights
OFAIF reserves the right to:
- Review all submissions before publication.
- Edit content for clarity, accuracy, tone or compliance with this policy.
- Reject content that does not meet the standards set out in this policy.
- Correct factual errors after publication, with a note where material corrections are made.
- Update content to reflect changed circumstances, regulations or market conditions.
- Remove content that no longer meets editorial standards or that is identified as inaccurate, misleading or inappropriate.
Publication on OFAIF does not imply OFAIF's endorsement of a contributor's professional services, products or commercial interests.
6. Corrections
OFAIF is committed to correcting errors promptly. If you identify a factual error in content published on this platform, please contact us at ofaifodisha@gmail.com. Editorial decisions are made independently, without direction from commercial sponsors, advertisers or affiliated organisations.
